Solve Real Ag Challenges - Build an AgTech Startup in 24 Hours.   This year's Canada's Farm Progress Show is putting agri-business and technology innovators together by partnering with us, Cultivator, Canada's 1st Credit Union led incubator. We're bringing together the best and brightest in agriculture, talented entrepreneurs and business leaders, developers and technical experts, as well as designers and marketing gurus to solve real problems facing the agricultural industry. Very few events allow this diverse group to converge together and build something innovative - we're here to change that. As a participant, in just 24 hours, you will experience the rollercoaster of highs and lows that are a part of everyday startup life. As you work to build an innovative startup company, you'll meet some of Saskatchewan's top mentors, entrepreneurs, and supporters who are ready to help you launch.

Participants may be designers, coders, engineers, farmers or general business visionaries. They will have the opportunity to work in teams, create a business model, and pitch a minimum viable product (MVP) in 24 hours with the support of entrepreneurs and ag industry mentors. The top pitches at the end of the event will win cash prizes. What is a 24 Hour Startup event? A 24 Hour Startup event pulls together entrepreneurs, developers, designers, and makers to pitch ideas, form teams, and build a minimum viable product (MVP) in a 24 hour period - don’t worry you don’t have to stay overnight. The MVP is then pitched to judges for a chance to win up to $4,000 in prizes. The focus is on building something new and innovative to solve ag industry challenges. In this case, we’ll even have a number of industry challenges sources before the event just waiting to be solved.
Who should participate? Ag + Tech + Business + Design This event is designed to connect the startup dream team of design and marketing gurus, developers and tech experts, and entrepreneurs and business professionals all with a focus on AgTech. It's also a great opportunity for anyone interested in testing out life as a startup in a safe and inclusive environment. Get out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and be amazed at what happens. Why get involved? AgTech is an exciting and important space. Many industries from transportation to finance to accommodations have been improved by disruptive tech companies solving real problems. We know there are many opportunities to improve an already thriving agriculture industry and what better time and place to do just that.
24 Hour Startup is all about less talk and more doing. Take action and test the waters by jumping into a hands-on startup experience to solve real ag challenges. Connect with other motivated individuals from a variety of backgrounds, access expert mentors, and have the opportunity to win up to $4,000 while expanding your network.
