IMPORTANT NOTICE: Course Dates are Wednesdays, January 15 - March 18, 2020, 6-9pm Eligibility:  this course is open to ages 16+ This 10-week course is the second course in the series of American Sign Language classes to further the student's abilities in refining the skills learned/retained in ASL 101. The student learns to handle Talking about Family, Talking about Activities and Storytelling. Grammar is introduced in context with an emphasis on using question and answer skills, directions, and descriptions. Cultural notes and videos provide information on Deaf Culture and Deaf Community.   Pre-requisite:  Successful completion of ASL101 or recommendation by way of a placement test. A “no-voice” teaching method is used to reinforce the learning experience.

You'll learn through classroom instruction and role-play, as well as videotext and a workbook. The videotext and workbook supplement and reinforce the classroom instruction so you can review, practice and retain what you learn. Our qualified Deaf instructors use Signing Naturally, a sign language curriculum that teaches both ASL and Deaf culture to help you better understand the communication needs of the Deaf community. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please register as soon as possible to avoid class cancellations due to insufficient registrations.
