What rights do international journalists have if war breaks out? How are they protected? Find the answers at the From the Frontlines: International Humanitarian Law for Journalists Conference at UBC Robson Square. Learn about the rules of armed conflict, how they apply to reporters in the field and hear from journalists and legal experts who have worked in war zones. The half-day interactive conference for journalists will cover an introduction to international humanitarian law (IHL) and how it impacts them and their work. You will walk away knowing when and how journalists are protected. The sessions will encourage sharing best practices and dialogue through a panel discussion.   This conference is presented in partnership with the Global Reporting Centre at UBC and is undertaken with financial support from the Government of Canada.
