From peer review to policy: how to connect your research with policy makers. Graduate students are you interested in finding ways to turn your research outputs into policies that can impact lives, whether your research is in linguistics, medicine or forestry? Join the GSS for an event to explain how you can engage policy makers and how policy makers use research. Our speakers, Adriaan de Jager, Associate Vice President, Government Relations and Community Engagement, UBC and Conny Lin, Director of Operations & Recruitment | Science Policy Integration Network both have extensive experience in building links between During the event we’ll cover topics like: How research is used by policy makers Identifying opportunities to feed your research into policy How your research could be relevant to policy makers and how to frame it in this context Learn tips and advice on communicating your research for policy makers Schedule 12pm-12.15pm Attendees arrive and get food 12.20- 1.20 Conny Lin and Adriaan de Jager 1.20-1.35 Q&A Room will remain open until 2pm if attendees want to stay for an informal conversation.
