The BLOOM Exhibition | April 2 -14 Ikebana arrangements from the Sogetsu School of Japanese flower arranging will take over the gallery space. This renowned school looks at ikebana materials with fresh eyes and understands the space in arranged flowers. This beauty, which does not exist in a natural state, is ikebana.  A visual celebration of springtime, Ikebana sculptures are a dynamic art form of their own. The Federation Gallery is collaborating with the Sogetsu School for this a collaborative display of nature: either in sculptures of ephemeral beauty or immortalized through artwork. An exhibition entitled, "BLOOM," from the Federation of Canadian Artists, will fill the gallery with 55 pieces of flowers, buds, plants, trees and the energy of springtime.  Opening Reception | April 4th, 6 - 8 PM Join us in recognizing the achievements of the Sogetsu School and the FCA's award-winning artists.

We are serving green tea and light refreshments during the opening reception.  This event is FREE, all age inclusive, with free parking and easy public transportation to and from Granville Island.
