  “IF I SPRAIN MY ANKLE, chances are you will know what to do. IF I HAVE A PANIC ATTACK, chances are you won’t.”   Did you know that 1 in 5  Canadians will experience a mental illness in a year? Right now, someone you know could be struggling with a mental health problem. Early intervention can make a profound difference. Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Edmonton, Alberta. T5H 3R3     FAQs   What are my parking options at the venue?  Parking is available for attendees west of the building as well as additional street parking.    Do I have to attend both days to get a certificate?  Attendees must complete the full course in order to be certified. Due to the nature of this training and the importance of safeguarding group dynamics, participants that arrive late or miss a significant amount of the course content may be asked to withdrawal at the facilitator’s discretion.    Is lunch provided?  Lunch is not provided in this training. However, participants will be given an hour for lunch to take advantage of the surrounding restaurants in the area.
Should you choose to bring your own lunch, you are welcome to store it in the refrigerator. Coffee/tea/water and light snacks will be provided.    What is the refund policy? Paid participants will have up to 7 days prior to the event to receive a full refund {minus Eventbrite fees}. No refunds will be issued after October 1, 2019   These dates don't work for me.
