Why Attend our Meetup? One of the biggest frustrations I hear from practitioners who practice holistic medicine is that they feel isolated from the rest of their medical community who don’t “get” the real value of what they offer. The purpose of our meetup group is to help to develop a community of practitioners in Ottawa who “get it”, to build a referral network, add value to your practice, your community, and the movement at large. Who should attend the meetup? This meetup is primarily for healthcare practitioners who have an interest in functional, holistic, integrative and naturopathic medicine including Chiropractors, Dentists, Dietitians, Health Coaches, Hypnotherapists, Medical Doctors, Naturopathic Doctors, Nutritionists, Osteopaths and Registered Massage Therapists.

Agenda: 7:00 Doors Open 7:00 - 7:15 Networking 7:15 - 7:30 Welcome and Introductions 7:30 - 8:15 Client Case Study Presentation and Discussion 8:15 - 9:15 Presentation by Dr Jared Gertson on NeuroKinetic Therapy  9:15 - 9:30 Networking About Dr Jared Gertson, DC, P-DTR, NKT, ART As a chiropractor and the owner of Restore Chiropractic, Dr Gertons goal is to provide the best care possible to his patients. For those in pain, he aims to help his clients heal as fast as possible, and to get them back to enjoying what they love to do, pain-free. He uses orthopaedic tests, functional movement analysis, and a novel method of manual muscle testing, called Neurokinetic Therapy® (NKT), to identify and correct imbalances and compensation patterns. Rather than just treating pain (a symptom) he goes after the cause of the pain to create quick and lasting results.

For those who are not in pain, correcting these compensations and imbalances will lead to more efficient movement and stabilization strategies, and can help to improve performance and posture. He sees the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership, where he helps to facilitate his clients' healing by providing expertise, insight and treatment, and his clients offer the dedication and work to make that change happen.
